What is Narcan?

Narcan™ (naloxone) is a prescription medicine that blocks the effects of opioids and reverses an overdose. Narcan is safe, cannot be abused, and will have no effect on a person who has not taken opioids.​

NM Cares was awarded a grant by the GLCF on March 2016. The grant aided us in hosting events to promote education and awareness on prescription drug abuse and misuse. Events included a Community Awareness Fair, Road Race and Overdose Memorial Vigil.
